2000 Almera N16 Brochure Review
Lets take a look at this N16 Almera UK Brochure from the year 2000, now just over 24 years ago!.
It's interesting to see how things have changed but not as drastically as you might think. A 24 year old car in 1980 would've been hopelessly out of date but a 24 year old car now is still just as usable and capable as something a lot newer.
The Almera is a case in point. It still looks fairly fresh, there's enough comfort on longer journeys to make it practical and it's not a bad car to drive.
Lets see what the brochure has to say.

Kirby G5 in action - Using the Kirby Carpet Cleaning System
Переглядів 164 години тому
Three times a year I extract the Kirby G5 and use it for a deep clean. I also use the Kirby Carpet Cleaning system with the Kirby Carpet Shampoo. It delivers pretty good results and is fun to use. Near the middle of the video I cover how to assemble and disassemble the carpet cleaning solution. #kirby #kirbycompany #g5 #vacuumcleaner
Nissan Almera N16 Twister Brochure Review and an Interior Tour of an actual Almera Twister!
Переглядів 2114 днів тому
A brochure review with a difference. Today, I review the Nissan Almera Twister brochure, but I also compare the actual car to other competitor offerings specifically the Opel/Vauxhall Astra G. I discuss the expectation versus reality shown in the brochure and remark on the various features of the N16 Almera. A review of sorts, you could say. All for entertainment purposes. #nissan #brochure #cars
Replacing a driveshaft on the N16 Nissan Almera Pulsar Sentra Bluebird Sylphy
Переглядів 3221 день тому
In todays video we start off with some welding updates. Next, we replace the offside (right hand side, when looking from the back of the car to the front) driveshaft. The original one has bent!. The hardest part was extracting the shaft from the gearbox. You need to persist with tapping the pry tool onto the inner CV housing. Eventually the shaft will pop out. It is advisable to replace the fol...

Nissan Almera N16 Front Brake Overhaul

In todays video, I cover replacing the front disks, calipers and pads on my N16 Almera. Before starting, make sure you know which brake setup you have, there are two different configurations. ABS cars have discs all round with larger front discs. Non ABS cars have a Disc/Drum setup with 257mm diameter front discs. I have included the torque values taken from the Haynes Manual relevant to this m...

In todays video, I show you how to replace the wiper blades on a G30/31 BMW 5 series. To get the wipers into the 'Service' position, get into the car with the key. Press the 'Start' button but do not start the car. Press and hold the wiper stalk down on 'demist' for approximately four strokes. Release when the blades reach the top of their stroke. It is now safe to replace the blades. The front...

Nissan Almera N16 Mud Flaps - Fitting some generic Mud Flap/Splash Guards
Переглядів 682 місяці тому
In this video, part of the N16 Almera series, I take some of the cheapest muf flaps/guards I can find and fit them to my N16 Almera......with reasonable results. They look good at first glance, despite being a 'one size fits all but not brilliantly' kind of a setup. I carried out this work on a windy day. Sadly, my channel is very small....along with my budget, so no fancy camera or microphone ...

Usually many newer devices that have composite output don’t normally have macrovision protection in streaming apps like Netflix (probably because companies don’t care about low quality analog copies of their content, plus most devices that have Netflix today don’t normally have composite). That’s usually dvd that has this protection. Even many newer DVDs, I’ve tested a dvd that came out in 2023 and still has macrovision.

I do mention in the video that I’d rather use copper grease but had none available. Since filming, I’ve renewed the pads (these were here just to allow me to bleed the brakes) and lubricated with copper grease. I’m guessing you may have a link to a more suitable video where the process is carried out correctly. Let me know and I’ll post it in the description.

The trick, or so I found.....is to soak everything in the area with penetrating oil, once a day for at least seven days in advance. I used Plus-gas, however....I have recently discovered Innotec De-Block. It's a bit pricey but it works surprisingly well.

Hello JCT. Can you tell me the offset number for your alloy wheel. And the size of the wheel nuts? I have regular steel wheels on the four wheels. But I wanted to keep the trunk cleaner with an alloy wheel. So, I need to ride around with spare tire wheel nuts that are different. I think yours are similar. Do you know if that can be done (alloy as spare). The special wheel store showed me a nut with a long stud but i think he is wrong and it should have looked like yours (cap like). I realize one is a locking nut. Thanks. 60 degree taper? ('98 Micra)

The alloys on my K11 are from an SE+. The have the same centre bore and offset as the standard steel wheels. The PCD is 4x100 5.5Jx14 ET45, centre bore is 59.1mm. The wheel uses nuts rather than bolts. For the alloys you will need a different set of buts, the steel wheel nuts are markedly different.

I've heard 5 minutes in the microwave is good too. Just have a BSR P157 on the bench. I cleaned the belt last night by wiping it down with a rag soaked in alcohol. Then put it in a plastic bag with rubber restorer overnight and I'm just about to head over to my brothers place this morning for a coffee and will stick it in his microwave for 5 minutes. Be interested to see the results. Thanks for your video.

Hello my friend! I got here cause another guy solved the issue which happened to me as well. The BLACK cable has a fuse in between the connections covered by the heatshrink, all you have to do is replace it for a more capable one or just bypass the fuse connecting directly. 10 months since you posted but I hope some other people find it helpful.

I've modified it a little since this video was made, it now sports a 200MHz StrongARM and a softload of RiscOS 4.02. The StrongARM is quite obviously throttled by the RiscPCs slow bus, but......it was up to the minute in 1994 and the StrongARM is several years newer. They are superb machines. I have owned one since 1994 oddly enough. The original went a long time ago, I had an old School one that suffered battery leakage destroying the motherboard so during lockdown, I purchased this one. I use it once a month or so....mainly for nostalgia and also to see just how well it can handle 'modern' tasks!

I noticed that you correctly located tge broken part.Thst grey colour part is not of plastic,it is of ceramic only and if you get this one from scrape decks of pioneer CT 760,CT 660,CT 960 and other of similar mechanism, you will be able to fix it.This is the main issue with these particular type of mechanism of pioneer .This part is very much brittle and theain culprit to get btokdn ,which can not be glued because of the very small surface area. You remove this part and will get the complete idea of the design and size of it .
